When It Comes To Pizza Delivery Berkeley Restaurants Will Do Their Best To Serve Your Needs

By Tara Daniels

Ever since Italian immigrants first came to the United States, Americans feel in love with pizza. This delicious food has evolved into something popular that we know as pizza delivery. When we are hungry, it is a great choice for fast tasty food that we don't even have to leave our house for. When you need pizza delivery Berkeley has many restaurants that will have your food at your door quickly.

When the driver gets to someone's home, most people do not ever give any thought as to what he, or she, had to go through to get their food to them. First off, they are wasting their own gas and lots of wear and tear is done on their vehicle to get your food to you. Unfortunately, pizza companies do not supply them with a vehicle.

This is one reason why giving them fair tips is always important. Of course, there is no law that requires someone to give a tip, but it is basic courtesy to do so. These delivery guys have a pretty good memory and will usually go out of their way to service someone who normally gives them good tips.

For regular orders, a ten to fifteen percent tip is acceptable. When ordering lots of pizza for a big party, a $1 or $2 tip is not very gracious. Something people find interesting is the fact that the lower and middle class will usually tip better than the wealthy.

A good thing to keep in mind is that the food will not always be at your door in 20 minutes. When the driver takes a bit longer than that, lots of people get mad at the driver and won't give him a good tip. They have to stop and think though that maybe it was not the driver's fault. Many times, the cook is the one to blame as he took too long to make the food. Unfortunately, the driver has to suffer the monetary loss.

When calling up a for an order, most companies will appreciate a person who has an idea of what toppings they want. It is alright to ask a few questions, but many people who call in stall on the phone and are indecisive of what they want. To the order taker, it can sometimes seem like the customer is making a life commitment instead of ordering food.

These businesses also have to deal with annoying crank callers. These are usually some bored kids with nothing better else to do. All the company can do is call them back and tell them to stop it. This will only work with those who are not smart enough to block their number. Sometimes, calling back is not a good strategy though as it may entice the kids to call up more as they will get good laughs out of it.

A person should always think about these things when they order food. When it comes to pizza delivery Berkeley customers will always be satisfied. Just remember to give a tip to the driver. One more thing to remember is to not leave the delivery guy at the door too long. If they knock or ring the bell three times and you don't answer, it will not be surprising to see them walk away.
