First Edition Book Of Mormon Is Important

By Myrtle Cash

If you like reading pieces of history, you should try reading the First Edition Book of Mormon. It is educational and inspiring. For those who are of the Mormon faith, they will probably find it very inspiring. It gives guidance during daily life and during trials. Usually, the read the latest version which was published by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Reading Scriptures everyday is of vital importance. Usually they are read each and every day by those that are sincere and devout. They feel it helps them have guidance in their life and comfort if things get rough. They feel if they read every day that they get the daily effect of the Scriptures instead of just reading it when they need it.

Praying is also a very effective tool for understanding what is important to us. We do now know when prayers will be answered, but we hope that God will answer them. It may feel like they are not being answered, but they may be without us knowing it. Some will stop praying when they feel nothing is changing as a result of a prayer. This is something that you should not do.

Spiritual and material things are different. They are in different worlds. Having faith is very important as one learns how to be silent and go within to commune. One's Higher Self communes with God. We cannot always see what a Higher Power is doing since we are not on that plane. Stay persistent with prayer even if it looks like nothing is happening.

Joseph Smith was the originator of the Book of Mormon and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was quite a man who withstood so many trials in order to establish what has been known as God's church. He translated the entire Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price. He did this with Oliver Cowdery along with God's direction and wisdom.

Joseph Smith and his brother, Hyrum were killed at the same time. They were being tried for their beliefs by the governor in Missouri. Smith was tarred and feathered at one point, too. Many other Mormons were killed and treated badly during this time. This is all very sad. They were humiliated for their beliefs for things that the mobs did not understand.

Being a leader is no small task. It takes diligence and perseverance. Courage must be had for this type of thing. It is not easy. Many people who want to make that big of a difference are killed. People do not want to be told that they are wrong so they just eliminate the source of it.

Unfortunately, usually the way it works is that they do get killed because the presence of evil on the earth does not want to hear the truth. Whether one reads the First Edition Book of Mormon or the more recent one the church has produced, they may get inspiration when they need it the most.
